No matter who you are or what problems you are dealing with, you can bet that things get a lot more annoying when you need to worry about zits!  The truth of the matter is that zits can strike anyone, young or old, male or female.  If you or someone you love has been having problems with zits, you’ll find that there are plenty of remedies that you can use that are available right from your own kitchen and bathroom.  Take a look at some of these great home remedies for zits for use during the next outbreak.

1.Water-only wash
One of the reasons that zits occur is that your face might be too irritated with the cleaning products that you use.  Take the time to simply wash your face with water for a little while.  While your face might feel a little bit greasy for the first few days, you’ll find that this will help restore your face to a natural mode for you to work with.  Many people find that this makes their acne disappear, so why not think about the natural benefits that you might have in front of you?

2.Citrus
When you are looking for something that will destroy the bacteria that can make zits so much worse, you might want to take the time and see what you can do when it comes to curing zits with lemons or oranges.  For instance, with orange peel, you can pound it flat and then apply it to the affected areas.  For something more direct, take some lemon juice and apply it directly to the area affected.  Remember that when you use this solution that you should not overdo it.  Don’t let your face feel too dry or sting too much, but you’ll find that this is a great way to clean your skin.

3.Garlic
Garlic is good for any number of problems that you might have, so it should come as no surprise that it would be good for your skin as well.  Garlic has many healing properties, especially when applied raw. You can start by rubbing the zits with raw garlic a few times a day, and you’ll find that you might even be able to see some improvement simply by eating raw cloves of garlic.  After you have left it on for a while, you can rinse the residue and the smell off.

4.Oil your face
When you are looking to thoroughly cleanse your skin, take some time to oil condition it.  On your clean face, rub in walnut oil or olive oil.  Let it sit and then put a hot wet towel over your face.  This opens up your pores and lets a lot of dirt and grime out.  After you have soaked for a bit, use the towel to wipe the remainder of the oil off of your face.  This can go a long way towards getting rid of any skin ailments that you might be having problems with.
